What's Different About Auction Inspections
- Viewing windows are often short — sometimes just an hour or two before the auction starts
- A road test usually isn't possible, so the assessment leans more heavily on visual, diagnostic and static checks
- You won't get a chance to renegotiate based on findings — this is purely about deciding your maximum bid, or whether to bid at all
How to Book for an Auction
Give us the auction house, lot number and viewing window as early as you can — auction inspections often need to be scheduled tightly around a fixed time, so early notice matters more here than for a standard private sale.
⚠ Set expectations accordingly: An auction inspection is necessarily more limited than a full pre-purchase inspection with a road test. We'll be clear about what could and couldn't be assessed given the access available.
